This is another unusual FR driver - it has dual voice coils and in an oval design.
I ran some numbers and came up with an 88.845 Cu. Ft. vented box with an F3 of 16.2Hz!!!
Something tells me I will be using this in a baffle instead of a box. :)
I have heard of someone mounting these on the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket
and propping the open end of the bucket up off the floor. Kind of an open baffle...I guess.
They said they had very good sound to them this way.
Hmmmm....
Maybe Sonotube or PVC pipe with an MDF cap on one end setup the same way might work.
That way it could be finished nicer than the bucket could be.
Who knows with this one. It will definitely be interesting.
